In 2009 the quartet was awarded the 4th prize at the International String Quartet Competition "Night and Sun" in Rovaniemi, Finland.
The quartet has attended masterclasses of the Petersen Quartet (Germany), Johannes Goritzki, Lydia Mordkovitch, Lluis Claret, David Takeno, Cristoph Poppen and Toomas Vavilov as well as taken part in a masterclass given by conductor Paavo Järvi.
In 2009 and 2010 the quartet participated in the International Holland Music Sessions Summer Academy and performed concerts at different venues in Holland. During the 2010/2011 season the quartet has taken part in the Tallinn Chamber Music Festival, performed at the Neeme Järvi Summer Academy and had another concert tour in Holland. In the end of 2010 the CD “Pimedas on valge” was released in collaboration with Hanna-Liina Võsa. In april 2011 the quartet gave a series of concerts in Estonia together with pianist Hando Nahkur and in autumn 2011 with clarinetist Toomas Vavilov. Both series included a concert in “Estonia” concert hall.
The quartet has also performed in collaboration with musicians like pianists Antti Siirala, Age Juurikas and Rein Rannap, singers Pille Lill, Tui Hirv, Hanna-Liina Võsa, Maarja-Liis Ilus, Maria Listra, Tõnis Mägi etc.
Recent premiers include pieces by Liis Viira, Rein Rannap and Aaro Pertmann.
The first CD of Prezioso Quartet will be released in spring 2012.
